Delaware River Trips

We are proud to offer guided fishing trips on one of the largest river systems in our region, the mighty Delaware River!  Our partnership with good friend and licensed Delaware River guide, Craig McGuinness, adds another premier fishery to the list of destinations that you can experience when booking with LHGS. This mighty waterway is home to a large variety of fish and lined with beautiful scenery and wildlife, making each trip a memorable experience. Target species include Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Striped Bass, and American Shad. 

The Fishing:

• American Shad (late March - early May, migratory species)

• Walleye (October - March peak, catchable year-round)

• Smallmouth Bass (May - September)

• Summer "Multi-Species" Fishing: In the summer, nearly every freshwater fish in our area can be caught in the Delaware River. Target species typically include, but are not limited to, Walleye, Smallmouth, Striped Bass, and a variety of other species that call the river home.

The Boat: Craig's custom-built 18' Stealthcraft Jet Boat offers the comfort and safety features necessary to enjoy this amazing fishery. His boat is powered by a 150/105 hp Honda jet motor, Minn Kota Terrova trolling motor with spot-lock, Garmin LiveScope technology, and Garmin electronics. Capable of accommodating your guide, plus 2- 3 guests.

• 4 Hour = $400

• 6 Hour = $550

Your Guide: Craig McGuinness has a history of fishing that has brought him all over the county. From a young age he has always been a self taught cold water fisherman with a focus on trout and steelhead. That led him all over New York to Alaska chasing steelhead with a Summer spent working on a charter board in Sitka, Alaska. Over the years the Delaware River stole his heart and our favorite "River Rat" he has earned his spot as one of the top walleye, smallmouth bass, striped bass, and shad anglers out there. He is licensed, insured, and has been guiding on the Delaware since 2023. Craig is also a member of our LHGS Youth Fishing Club guide-staff. He is also a loving husband and father to a super-cool and up-and-coming fishergirl!
